It takes two to tango, but what about creating a new TV show? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Castle creator and executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller are developing a new comedy TV show titled Take Two.
Castle is currently in its eighth season. The ABC series stars Nathan Fillion as a mystery author who partners with a detective (Stana Katic) to solve crimes.
Like Castle, Take Two will feature two unlikely people—an L.A. private investigator and an actress—coming together to solve cases. The series is being produced by StudioCanal’s Tandem Productions.
What this means for Castle is unclear. The series has yet to be renewed by ABC, and as we posted a few days ago, the show’s eighth season is receiving subpar ratings.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Castle? Would you watch Take Two?
Marlowe and Miller left Castle at the end of season 7..Hawley and Winter are the architects of the disastrous season 8.
NEW COKE OR OLD COKE? BOTH?
Castle is a show I look forward to all week. Love the characters, love the chemistry. Why give the writers yet another show, when they have dropped the ball according to ABC executives. New is not always better. They dumped an excellent show last year, Forever, after one great season. They need to get it together and do the smart thing for a change. I’m becoming less and less interested in investing time on shows on ABC. So are many other people.
These writers should pay more attention to making Caste great again, instead of this new series, which seeing what it’s name is..”Take Two” sounds like they’re copying Castle.
