TV show description:
A pop singing competition reality show, the American Idol TV series ran for 15 seasons on FOX, before being cancelled/ending. Now, ABC has revived it. Although Ryan Seacrest has returned to host, the new iteration launches with three new judges — Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan.
Contestants are found via nationwide open auditions. The number of contestants is narrowed down, through subsequent single and group auditions, and are judged by people like recording artists and record industry insiders.
In the final weeks of the competition, the judges critique performances but only the most popular singers (determined by audience votes) stay in the competition. At the culmination of the season, the most popular singer is named “American Idol.”

I work with an girl names Kansas she 24. Short blond hair diy it white. And going on American idol this coming season she left September 5th and said she off until October 31st. Now that exactly 8 weeks. Thing is work give you off by how long you were there so she has 11 vacation days and 7 sick days. So she actually has to work over there to keep her job. She not expecting to win or expecting anything out of it.
American Idol need new judges! They send home good singers and keep bad ones!
I can’t believe that American Idol is ending. What is wrong with you people? This show is so much fun and entertaining. I love the judges, the contestants, everything about it. My husband and I look forward to watching this every week, it is like I said so fun, it makes me smile and sometimes makes me cry. Some of the contestants experiences are so sad, yet they push through. The judges are hysterical and up beat and who doesn’t love music? Please, please, please don’t cancel the show.
I look forward to watching American Idol. I think the judges bring their own varied skill sets and individual talents, gifts to the show and work together well. Love Luke, Katie and Lionel and how they all three work together and encourage those on the show. I look forward weekly to see what will be shown to us. Love the show and the judges and host.

Love the show and the judges! I feel the judges different personalities and since of humor give the show a little extra fun! It makes it not all just music and serious judging. Great job, AMAZING Show! Can’t wait to see who wins this season. Then will be waiting patiently for next season!

Only reason I watch is because the Sunday night lineup stinks to high heaven. Last week it got so bad I just plain turned it off. Zero on on Sunday nights! When Katy Perry did the worm I said this is horrendous BS. Turned it off. Save what little dignity you have and cancel the show.
I like the new format with the ‘kinder, gentler’ judges. Much improved over the harsh criticism by Simon Cowell.
