What’s in store for the end of Code Black? Recently, executive producer Michael Seitzman spoke with TVLine about the CBS TV show’s upcoming series finale.
As reported earlier, the network has cancelled the medical drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, Moon Bloodgood, and Rob Lowe.
In the interview, Seitzman revealed there will be some closure for the series finale of Code Black, which is slated to air on CBS on July 18th at 10 p.m. ET/PT:
At the end of every season, we’ve ended the season to be a story ender for everybody so there’s a sense of closure not just among the audience who we make the show for but also for ourselves. The third season had the added specter of a possible cancellation, which made it more urgent for us to create something for every story that felt like an ending to some degree.”

What do you think? Do you watch Code Black? How do you want the series to end?
I love Code Black! My mom loves Code Black! WE ARE NOT HAPPY THAT CBS IS ENDING THIS WONDERFUL SHOW!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this show and I wish something could be done to stop the cancellation. Let us hope they are not going to replace it with some lame reality show.
Let’s hope tonight is NOT the finale!!!!!
This is amount the best shows on TV, and CBS will loose so many viewers by cancelation of the series. This rates up with Chicago Fire and it would be a fund thing to do by canceling.
OMG!!!!!!! This is crazy you all spiced it up this season to just end it please can y’all work something out it’s a amazing show why stop now???? I’m to sad
This really sucks, I love this show. Why was it cancelled? The cast and the story are wonderful. Please, please reconsider, I can’t handle another reality show. I hope that another network picks up the show, I hate that this was cancelled after only 3 seasons, it makes no sense because it’s a really popular show.
I have watched all three seasons of Code Black and thoroughly enjoyed the episodes. It saddens me to know that this show is ending, ending tonight. The cast is great, good story lines. The characters lives along with stories are very realistic. So sad tonight’s episode is not Season 3’s finale but the Finale…
I totally agree, one of the best shows on ..Please bring it back..
So absolutely bummed that this show has been cancelled!!! I love all the characters, the story lines and the wonderful dynamic with all the characters!!! Reconsider…please!!!!
I want to join all those who are expressing the hope that either CBS will realize its error or another network will pick up this compelling show. Code Black has gotten progressively better since first coming on air. I really hope to continue to be able to watch these wonderful actors.
I agree. Reconsider and do Not cancel Code Black. We love this show
Yet again another good show gets cancelled. There is absolutely nothing to watch on tv anymore. Those reality shows are horrible and so fake. It’s all made up drama and who cares? I sure don’t. All the characters in this show fit together great. Hoping another network picks up this show.
I have begun to hate cbs! Everytime we have great shows they cancel it and damned if another reality show is own!
I have watched and enjoyed all three seasons of this show. It has been well acted and presented many interesting topics and medical issues. I feel the show should be continued and it is definitely much better that the garbage reality shows which I refuse to watch. I will rather watch reruns of drama series than reality shows. Hopefully, this series will be picked up by another network.
I love this show I don’t want it to end its my favorite medical drama ! I hope they reconsider this decision!
I can’t believe that the best shows always get canceled and were left with all the garbage reality shows! I’m ready to cancel my cable and start buying DVDs of all my old canceled favorites!
I love Code Black and I am sorry to see it go off the air. Hopefully another channel will pick up this show.
I wish CBS would read these comments. I don’t believe their viewer stats at all
This show is wonderful! I can’t believe that it has been cancelled. Considering some of the other trash shows on, it was a show we actually looked forward to watching. What are the execs at CBS thinking? Not everyone thinks that all of the reality shows are entertaining. Guess I will go back to reading good books and skip TV. Too bad
