Segev’s adventure has come to an abrupt end. Netflix has cancelled the Hit & Run series so there won’t be a second season.
An action thriller series, the Hit & Run TV show stars Lior Raz, Sanaa Lathan, Kaelen Ohm, Moran Rosenblatt, Gregg Henry, and Gal Toren. The story follows Segev Azulai (Raz), a regular-guy Tel Aviv tour guide who’s married to Danielle (Ohm), a dancer from America. As she’s about to depart for a big audition in New York City, Danielle is tragically killed in a hit-and-run. Grief-stricken and confused, Segev is left trying to make sense of her death and follows his wife’s killers to the United States. Was it truly an accident? What if Segev is more than just a tour guide? He’s aided in his quest by his friend Ron (Toren) and Naomi (Lathan), his former lover who’s now a journalist. With multiple twists and turns, Segev’s search uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets that she kept from him.
The first season of 10 episodes was released on August 6th and ended with a big cliffhanger. Showrunners Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin had indicated that they had hoped the series would run for two or three seasons. Deadline, which first reported the cancellation noted that the series had been expensive to produce in the age of COVID-19 and with shooting in both New York and Israel.
This show is dramatic and very suspenseful. Great acting by all especially Lior Raz who is always fabulous in everything he does. The only thing I didn’t like was the darkness it was filmed in, making it difficult to see the characters. If production costs are an issue for additional seasons, why not just shoot the film in one country. There are so many locales in New York that could pass for Israel, eliminating the cost of filming in two countries. So disappointed that there won’t be more seasons! Come on Netflix, are you really going to leave us hanging?!
So sad this is not getting a 2nd season. Really good action/adventure movie.
I agree, NETFLIX MADE A BIG MISTAKE. Thinking about cancelling Netflix. If political pressure can cancel a series because it gets too close to the truth, then……..? Censorship??????? BAD NEWS. CANCELLING NETFLIX!!!@
My wife and I just watched it (June28/29, 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very disappointed there will be no season 2.
Very disappointed, this is one of many series that have ended , wondering what happens next…love Netflix, but it makes me sooo mad..when they decide not to continue an episode..they can raise your monthly subscription whenever, but we have no saying when they leave you hanging and wanting more……..
One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time . Needs to be renewed asap!!
Fantastic series, gripping drama. Such a shame not to continue it…
I love it, so much better than most shows of this type like the well made but boring Jack Ryan
I think this series had great potential! Left viewers on an unresolved cliffhanger- really sucked! Disappointed that there won’t be another season!
I’m ready to cancel Netflix! This is like the fifth good series with no return! Yet all the crap goes on and on! Bad move NETFLIX
Such a gripping series and the jump between English and Hebrew I found a refreshing concept for a Netflix series. Why do the good ones get canned??? The characters were solid, story line and the actors. A damn shame.
This was a home run series now that Covid is over and more high tec filming ability you should reconsider another series for the fans !!
Another excellent production that gets cancelled. That’s a bunch of BS, very disappointing!
That’s BS NETFLIX you suck!! Then don’t put series out without a finale ending. So stupid! Should cancel YOU NETFLIX
I agree!!
Awesome series and I’m definitely disappointed that Netflix is not going to continue with season 2, I’m starting to give great thought to cancelling Netflix because this is the 3rd series that I have been left hanging without knowing the ending.
