What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
Sorry to see this show end, it’s the best show on TV. Big Brother is the worst thing on. Why would you cancel life in pieces
That’s what I just said even before reading your post!! I know just how you feel!
This is such a bummer. We would have stayed with this show for many more seasons. Ah – why do the networks cut the good shows??!!…
I Loved this show and looked forward to it!! What is going on with such great shows being canceled?! I’m sad that it ended…..unexpectedly . You knew you were going to laugh when life in pieces was on
Very disappointing that this show is ending. Very smart writing and good actors. Looked forward to watching each week.
I loved this show and am very sorry to see it end. I would love to know what the writers had planned for season 5 — was “Matt” leaving the show?
I am so sad to see the show end. It is one of our family favorites. I hope another network picks it up. 🙁
I love ❤️ this show! It is so funny I laugh out-loud every time it comes on. Great writers & actors. I think someone at CBS should take a second look at this decision or be fired if they can’t see how good this is. Please bring it back
I love the show and the charactors. Very disappointed in CBS that they are canceling the show when there is so many bad shows that continue on air.
Life in Pieces was a wonderful show that actually made us laugh out loud. There is no conceivable reason as to why this show should have been cancelled. Please, please bring it back. Thursday’s will never be the same. Oh, and shame on CBS.
So disappointed! I stayed laughing the whole 30 minutes of show. Brolin and Wiest were the best. I really wish the writers could’ve known about the cancellation before they wrote the season finale. They would’ve done a better job with this family’s send-off. I’m going to miss the dry humor, wit, and clever casting that carried this show all 4 seasons.
Boo!!!! This makes me very sad I am a big Life in Pieces fan!!! It actually makes me ANGRY they are cancelling ALL the Entertainment TV for ALL of this RIDICULOUS Reality or Game Show/Competition TV…. Ugh & Yuck. I think I will go back to reading instead.
BRING BACK “LIFE IN PIECES”!!!!!
Extremely upset to hear that this show is not returning. This is one of the best shows on TV. And definitely the best show that CBS has to offer, big mistake.
We would have loved another Season of Life In Pieces. But if not we would have liked more of an ending for the show. Even the cast could have talked about the show. Sorry to see it end
I rather laugh at this family than be with my own. Season 5 please
I didn’t like the finale. Yes I would have watched a 5th season. I enjoyed this show
