NCIS: New Orleans has been cancelled by CBS after seven seasons, and star Scott Bakula recently spoke about finishing the series and leaving New Orleans behind.
The cast and crew were not expecting CBS to cancel the show and were informed in February, as they were filming episode 13. “It was painful,” said executive producer Jan Nash, “but it was a blessing to have enough time to make adjustments and a finale that feels very true to New Orleans.”
Bakula said the following about the finale of NCIS: New Orleans and filming it during the pandemic, per TV Insider:
“The last episode of a seven-year series has all kinds of light shining on it. People gave speeches, bumped elbows. They had their masks on. It was bittersweet: We shot 16 episodes and are proud of the season, but it was goodbye — and from a distance.”
Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, and CCH Pounder also star in this CBS procedural drama. The series finale is set to air on May 23rd.
What do you think? Are you a fan of NCIS: New Orleans? Are you planning to watch the finale on CBS later this month?
The CBS people who make the decisions to drop interesting shows with great actors need to be fired. Every decent show with no sex and cursing gets cancelled. They don’t live in the world of “everyday people.” Soon porn will be the norm for them. I love the city of New Orleans. I love in the south so that made the show even more appealing. The music on the show is great. What is wrong with these people?
I am TOTALLY upset they canceled this show !!! There are other stupid cartoon shows that are in for 20 some years .. a good show like this gets the boot !!!! NOT FAIR!!!!!!!
I do not understand why CBS plans on cancelling the show. I loved it and will miss it greatly. All cast members were great .
I my so sorry to hear this show is canceled . It is a most favorite of mine.
Always entertaining and the music was always great. I think this is a big mistake.
Thank are making a mistake
sorry to hear this is the last season for NCIS New Orleans.
Please just get some new writers and revamp a little NCIS New Orleans still has the good bones just as the other 2 NCIS have , and Jag, and some of the other GREAT past programs that went for many seasons. Surely its cheaper to revamp a bit than trash it completly.
Shameful, cancelling programs that offer total entertainment in australia the shows are on so late that the only way we can watch is wait for the dvd to be released, to watch tv in this country is frustrating and annoying REALITY TV dominates and is positively garbage . I for one enjoy the storylines and guessing the outcome, please dont keep ditching these greatly entertaining shows.
I am so sad to see this show cancelled. I watch all three NCIS shows every week and pvr if I am not available to watch live. I am shocked at this decision. Please reconsider!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK PRIDE AND THE CREW FOR ANOTHER SEASON!
CBS needs some new CEO’S when it comes to making decisions on cancelling series. NCIS NOLA is the only NCIS I watch. You made a big mistake, HUGE MISTAKE. I hope you don’t screw around with Magnum. My second favorite. CBS is the only channel i watch. Pretty soon I will be watching Netflix and Amazon Prime. I am just so disappointed in you for taking away NCIS NOLA. HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME! IDIOTS!
CBS, if you don’t like New Orleans we don’t like you. As far to watch CBS again. The people in the south have loyalty and once you loose that then oh” well!!!
Used to like the show before it went down the woke hole this season. Glad to see it cancelled. I say that as someone who has seen every single episode of Magnum (original), JAG, and all the NCIS series (with the exception of this season of NOLA). I dont think I am alone as this is the earliest an NCIS show has been cancelled. Been on a downhill trend since they killed off Lucas Black.
BRING BACK NCIS NEW ORLEANS!
I don’t understand, this is a great show, shot in a very cool city with a wonderful cast. I feel like CBS is shunning the south since the other shows are set in the Northeast, California and now Hawaii. What are you trying to do replace Hawaii 50? Very disappointed in the network.
This was a great cast and series. I have lost faith in CBS executives and will give other network a try.
