Is The Fugitive returning to the small screen? Deadline reports Quibi is developing a reboot of the 1960s TV show.
The original series debuted on ABC in 1963 and centered on Richard Kimble, a doctor who is wrongly convicted of murdering his wife. The series ran for four seasons before ending in 1967. The show was adapted into the 1993 film starring Harrison Ford.
Quibi’s reboot of The Fugitive comes from Scorpion creator Nick Santora and “centers on blue collar worker Mike Russo, who just wants to make sure his wife, Allison, and 10-year-old daughter, Pearl, are safe, when a bomb rips through the Los Angeles subway train he’s riding on. But the faulty evidence on the ground and “tweet-now, confirm-later” journalism paint a nightmarish picture: it looks to all the world that Mike was responsible for the heinous act.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Fugitive? Would you watch the Quibi reboot?
Tim Daly did a reboot in 2000. It was cancelled after one season.
Are you kidding, why can’t writers come up with new shows as opposed to continually re-hashing old ones. Nothing like an original, NO I will not watch.
I will absolutely watch the reboot of the series.
