TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

Love this show, its good sci-fi without too much jargon, as with many previous sci-fi series it hits on todays issues in what would be the resolution in the future. Could some of the banter be taken down a notch, eh..a little, but the stories are very good and its enjoyable to watch. Our family looks forward to the next episode. It blends some nice nostalgia from beloved sci-fi series and pop culture albeight all from 400 years ago so good to know the 80s and 90s live on. 🙂

I am writing to show support for The Orville. Since there is so much entertainment content out there ready to be consumed but a very limited time to actually consume it, I, like everyone else, have to be selective when it comes to picking what I watch. What better show to watch after work than a a show that honors all of the Star Trek shows I grew up with, while being witty enough to also poke a little fun at them as well. I LOVE this show!!! The Orville is funny, intelligent, sarcastic, well written, and well acted. What a wonderful show. I really want to see more seasons, two, three, four, five…seven!!!! PLEASE renew The Orville for many more seasons.
