TV show description:
From creator and star, Seth MacFarlane, The Orville TV show is a live-action space adventure, set 400 years in the future. The story centers on the crew of a mid-level exploratory spaceship, The U.S.S. Orville.
In 2417, Ed Mercer (MacFarlane) is promoted to captain the Orville, with the assistance of First Officer Kelly Grayson (Palicki). Unfortunately, she’s his ex-wife, and her presence acts as a bridle on his enthusiasm.
Dr. Claire Finn (Jerald); helmsman Gordon Malloy (Grimes); Lt. Commander Bortus (Macon); his mate, Klyden (Coleman); security officer Alara Kitan (Sage); navigator John LaMarr (Lee); and A.I. life-form Isaac (Jackson) round out the crew. Whether facing off with the Krill, a dangerous alien race, or attempting rescues on behalf of the Planetary Union, these humans and aliens still must deal with their mundane issues and each other.

Sweet Lord, renew. One of the best shows on the air, and they’ve barely got their feet wet yet. Let this one continue to evolve and you’re going to have a multi year hit on your hands. Trust me.
Renew, renew, renew! And just in case you didn’t read it yet, I said renew the show! It is the only show I ask my brother to record believe it or not and even my brother sits and watches it with me because we all need a little humor in our lives and set in a syfi setting is all the more perfect! We are in our 60’s and enjoy it very much!
The Orville MUST stay on. It is “Star Trek Light” for me, an avid lifelong Trekker, and it is my weekly bright spot to lighten my mood and RELAX. So necessary in our world today. I will sign petitions and march as need be, but The Orville must stay great and continue on air. Thanks, Suzanne

This show is what science fiction is all about. It’s homage to Star Trek is a love letter that true fans can rally behind and embrace. McFarlane understands this and doesn’t allow personal politics to muddy the show, but gives his viewers true allegory to think for themselves and use their minds. Kudos, sir!
Good show. Can’t always watch on Thursdays but I always catch it on Fox Now. Right now, it is the only Fix show I feel is must see, with Gotham being close behind. Would have been nice to have Firefly stick around so there would have been two quality sci-fi shows. Please at least keep this one around.

Great show – more like Star Trek than the series currently using that name. Great stories, relevant commentary. Just shows that you can’t make a bad show a good one by calling it Star Trek, and a good show is still good without needing the name recognition.

Fox needs to let this show have at least 7 seasons. If Family Guy can have damn near 18 then Orville can do 7 easy. Fox should pretty much be bending to Seth McFarlanes Will because of how much they are making from all of his shows.
