Will & Grace is returning to NBC next month, and the revival of the popular comedy will ignore the finale. That means Will and Grace will not be married and have kids. They will be living together in their apartment.
David Kohan revealed the following about the decision to ignore the finale of the NBC series to Entertainment Weekly:
“When the decision was made to bring the series back, we were like, well, we left them with kids, right? And if they have children, then it has to be about them being parents, ‘cause presumably it would be a priority in their lives. And if it wasn’t a priority in their lives, then they’re still parents, they’re just bad parents, right? We frankly did not want to see them being either good parents or bad parents. We wanted them to be Will and Grace.”
Fans will see Will’s husband from the finale on the new series. Harry Connick Jr. will appear on the Will & Grace revival – at least briefly.
Will & Grace has already been picked up through season 10. Are you excited for the return of the NBC comedy? Tell us what you think.
OMG that has to be the best news that I’ve heard since they told me my cancer was gone. Reruns of Will and Grace got me threw my Chemo and threw some pretty ruff days. Laughter is the best medicine.
I think it will be fun to watch Will & Grace and am looking forward to it. But it’s also sad that the networks can’t come up with new fun shows that entertain and make people happy while watching it.
I loved Will and Grace and will definitely watch it again
I would definitely be watching Will & Grace. I missed the final season because i don’t remember Will & Grace having kids. Great show
It will be great, just explain the finale as a dream on of them was having. Shelly Morrison will be missed as Rosie.
The payroll for this show is going to be VILE. People think the people on The Big Bang Theory are overpaid? The salaries for this will be WORSE, even if the people in it aren’t getting 1 million per episode. NBC has this love affair with a washed up Debra Messing. NBC has agreed to put this show on for 2 seasons even though the first season hasn’t started.
Very bad idea it was dieing at the end nothing will help ity3UuY
I’m not excited for this. I enjoyed W&G for most of its original run, but bringing it back just feels like more proof that NBC can’t come up with anything new.
