Michael Weatherly left NCIS last season but he’s back on CBS with the new Bull TV show. Was it a good move? How is Bull doing in the ratings? Most new TV shows are cancelled after one season. Will this be one of them? Cancel or keep it?
Inspired by the early career of Doctor Phil McGraw, the Bull TV show revolves around the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly). He combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick. His team members are played by Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, and Christopher Jackson.
The show premiered on September 20th to a 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 15.56 million viewers. That was a very positive start for a new series. CBS wisely aired it after the Weatherly’s previous series so that no doubt helped draw in viewers.
The second episode dropped about 14% in the ratings which is a reasonable second week decline. Episode three also fell and the fourth installment fell as well, dropping to a 1.57 demo rating with 12.29 million.
While Bull’s numbers have been declining, it’s still CBS’ most watched new show and is averaging 13.62 million viewers. It’s still very early in the season but, at this point, it looks like the network won’t be cancelling Bull any time soon.
But, what do you think? Do you like the Bull TV show on CBS? Should it be cancelled? If you’ve watched the program, will you keep watching? Cancel or keep it?
MW’s character in NCIS was getting old but I have to admit the show is not the same without him. The new additions could not seem to lift the show and kinda awkward the way they interact with each other. I think BULL is a good show and a good move for MW. The characters are gradually getting developed with each series which is how they start connecting with the audience. Might not be a bad idea if Bull gets it wrong for once and then analyzed where he went wrong. We’re just people after all.
Love Michael Weatherly, but Bull is boring and predictable. Not watching.
Michael Weatherly should move on to movies and be the next action hero.
Bull was a bad move for him. He could have been the next Clint Eastwood.
Michael, it’s time to quit the joking around and move on to some serious acting
in the movies!
Great show with real heart and intellect. All time best dialogue. Finally something on TV that involves the mind.
Cancel it
Keep it!! I love it, and Michael Weatherly!!
Cancel – it’s boring & very predictable. I think Michael was a huge success in NCIS.
It’s genuinly disappointing that Michael left a great role as Tony Di Nozo, his characters interaction with Gibbs was always entertaining & gifted x
I don’t see anything special about this show. Not enough action. Boring.best describes t.
Love Bull! Great new show!
A few episodes in now, and I have to say it’s an “okay” show. Nothing to get excited about. Not sure I’ll continue to watch. I’ll know by the end of the season.
I read the review of the show via Twee (great app) and was prepared for a terrible program. Watched the first one and loved it, by themselves each character would not work but together they bounce of each other and create a great show. Its like the relationship House (show of same name) had with his team. Please don’t cancel it
Love this new show! I am really glad Michael Weatherly is still on tv.
I think it is a great new medical show. Thanks.Keep it goin please.
You called Bull, “A great new medical show”, BULL is not a medical show, it’s a legal drama…Not sure where medical school came from. I’m sorry I had to say something. I usually don’t post, but I’m OCD and it was driving me crazy. I tried my hardest to skip over it, but kept coming back and reading it over and over. Sorry!!
I love this show, also.
The NON STOP music is distracting and too loud. Tone it down!
I watched the first episode and cancelled my DVR recording for the rest of the season. MW is too full of himself. He was on NCIS too. He seems to want to play a smarty pants and he can’t pull it off very well.
Do not like the show, would rather see him in NCIS, he kept it interesting, the show now is boring and to predictable, don’t like the new girl she seems to want to be the boss and Gibbs is just there, nothing exciting, it is very stiff.
