It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s another season. The Supergirl TV show is renewed for a fourth season on The CW. Although cancelled after one season on CBS, the DC Comics-inspired series has thrived on the littlest network, which is owned by the same parent company.
A CW superhero action-adventure drama, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart, Chris Wood, Floriana Lima, and Katie McGrath. The story centers on Kara Zor-El (Benoist) aka Kara Danvers, the cousin of Kal-El, i.e. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin).

What do you think? Do you still like the Supergirl TV series? Did you expect to it to be cancelled or renewed for season four on The Cw.
I love all things Superhero. While I like some more than others my three favorites (in this order) are The Flash, I Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Arrow was higher until I found out that Felicity would not be in the final season and she was ALWAYS my favorite character. Anyway I hope we don’t lose Supergirl for a good long time.
Not seeing why they renewed Supergirl. no ones watching. not the 1st run shows, or repeats. dropping from 0.2 to 0.1 in a week isn’t just “went down by 0.1”, it’s “one-half” of the previous week. My kids have shown no interest in it, for which I am glad. Too adult in too early a time-slot. Solution:Drop Supergirl and pickup with a different DC hero. One that BELONGS in the Arrowverse. Like SuperMAN, or Rorschach.
YESTHEY DO
I ended up in the hospital for most of June and missed the last episodes of Supergirl, Season 3. I was hoping that repeats would be on and I could watch them before Season 4 started. Any comments?
The latest episodes are on The CW site for free streaming. All of season 3 is now on Netflix.
Love the show! Please don’t cancel it.
I love all the CW superhero series especially Supergirl! Legends gets better every year too. I only hope they add more
I was in London, England celebrating my birthday with a friend when I got the news about the DCTV shows, and that was definitely a birthday gift to me. 😀
Yes! Thank God and CW, Supergirl is renewed for a 4th season. Supergirl, Kara and Melissa herself, are such an inspiration to all of us.
The show was good in s1. It focused mainly on Kara. Then in s2 they introduced a horribly written and developed character, Mon-El, who overtook plotlines and detracted from what the show should be about: Supergirl. They’ve lost viewers due to poor writing and insistence on focusing on elements that truly do not make the show great.
I liked Mon-El in season two more. He was a fun guy. Now he just seems sad and angry all the time this season.
Considering all of that is absolute rubbish. Mon-El’s arc has been good and really good since he returned in series 3. Infact Series 3 on a wholw has blown all the rest of the series’ out of the water. Shelter from the storm was a fantastic episode. Bring on Episode 19 and bring on Series 4.
I love Supergirl, and was pleased to see that she had been renewed. Though I was
confused by the scheduling arrangement. Please keep her show coming. Get better writers though. That seems to be most watchers problem.
The writing is horrible it is one of the reasons I stopped watching the other reason was; if I wanted to look up anything regarding Supergirl all that came up was super Corp! I just couldn’t anymore I am a lesbian and love that Chyler represents lgbt on the show (the show it’s self does a horrible job)
Sadly, we didn’t watch the past couple of seasons since we were trying to introduce our daughters to a classic DC superheroine. But, with the definitive Western liberal worldview represented therein (specifically spending so much time exploring lesbianism/homosexuality), we had to turn the channel permanently. Interesting that The Flash, allegedly by the same producer, doesn’t have those plot elements showing so boldly. DC, we just want great comic book stories represented with great actors and great CGI? Nothing more!
Glad to see that there are people who think they ate perfect. Stop watching TV and movies and re-read the bible quit complaining.
