With no end in sight, CBS has renewed The Amazing Race TV show for a 31st season. The long-running competitive reality TV series had dropped some in the ratings over the years, but in season 30, it has seen a significant revival.
An unscripted CBS TV show, The Amazing Race is hosted by Phil Keoghan. It follows teams of contestants as they race around the world in pursuit of a million-dollar prize.
The Amazing Race: A Look at the Ratings
The 30th season of The Amazing Race is averaging a 1.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.514 million viewers. Compared to season 29, that’s up by 38.45% and 36.99%, respectively. Find out how The Amazing Race stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.
CBS Renewals
CBS renewed a total of 11 series, today: Blue Bloods, season nine; Bull, season three; Hawaii Five-0, season nine; Madam Secretary, season five; MacGyver, season three; NCIS: Los Angeles, season 10; NCIS: New Orleans, season five; Survivor, season 37; The Amazing Race, season 31; 48 Hours, season 31; and 60 Minutes, season 51. They join previously renewed series: The Big Bang Theory, season 12; Young Sheldon, season two; Mom, season six; NCIS, season 16; SEAL Team, season two; and SWAT, season two.

Combined with Previous Pickups, CBS Has Now Renewed 17 Shows: 10 Dramas, Three Comedies, Two Reality Series and Two News Programs
Demonstrating strength, stability and depth across the schedule, CBS announced today the renewals of 11 more primetime series for the 2018-2019 season. Combined with previously announced pickups, CBS has now renewed 17 series for next year, including its entire Tuesday and Friday night lineups.

To date, the Network has renewed 12 of the top 20 scripted series; 12 series with 10+ million viewers (more than the other networks combined); and three of the top six most-watched freshman series (YOUNG SHELDON, SEAL TEAM and S.W.A.T.).

I love amazing race, I just get frustrated with the network for not giving us a date when it will air
PLEASE air Season 31 of Amazing Race soon. The wait between seasons is horrible! I love binging the older seasons BUT want more. It’s the best show of pure friendships, emotions & teamwork.

Love the amazing race .. look forward to watching it every season.. I don’t know why some of these other shows can’t be changed around as most of them are reruns.. I don’t care about what is airing on tv usually I can watch it or not but if the amazing race or survivor are on I will be right in front of the tv with my family.

This is an amazing reality show the best on TV. I am so happy that season 31 has been set for 2018-19. This show is amazing and in its direction and production. Traveling the world and being able to produce and direct such beautiful and challenging sightful things is amazing. Good job CBS continue with this beautiful reality show.

I don’t watch much television, but I have watched all seasons of Amazing Race. I look forward to when it will return to Fall and either Winter or Spring seasons. Hopefully that isn’t a thing of the past!
