When Hallmark viewers tune in to the Home & Family TV show tomorrow morning, it’s a safe bet that they won’t see Mark Steines as co-host. The cable channel has released a statement that they have parted ways with Steines. His bio has already been removed from the Home & Family portion of Hallmark’s website. Read an update here.

Statement by Hallmark Channel
Issued on May 31, 2018Today Hallmark Channel has parted ways with Mark Steines as the co-host of the network’s lifestyle series “Home &Family.” We are extremely grateful to Mark for his incredible work and wish him all the best success in his future endeavors.
A former correspondent and substitute anchor on Entertainment Tonight, Steines helped launch the current incarnation of Home & Family in October 2012. Paige Davis was his first on-screen partner. She was replaced by Christina Ferrare a month later. Debbie Matenopoulos replaced Ferrare in 2016 and now, it appears Matenopoulos is the show’s sole host for the time being.
It’s unclear what caused Steines to leave the program so abruptly but, with the current climate in the industry, one can guess that we haven’t heard the end of this story. It may be something as simple as May 2018 was the end of his contract. When Ferrare was replaced, there was little acknowledgment.
Steines hasn’t made any updates to his social media accounts or website. His Instagram post on Memorial Day indicates that all was well on the Home & Family set.

I’m shocked and saddened to hear that Mark is no longer on H & F . HE REALLY carried the show. Hope it was his choice. You will be missed!

I will probably watch but I will really miss him. It will not be the same! I hate the way he just left and no one knows why……

I was surfing the channels and ended up on the Hallmark Home and Family, and love the show. Mark is the anchor on this show and so engaging with his cast and guest. I pray that Mark had decided to purse other options but I don’t feel he would have left so abruptly. If management let him go not sure i will stay plugged in to the show as much as I love the cast.
He will me missed and so disapointed in his departure!
So disappointed to hear Debbie announce that Mark is no longer with the show. They were a great team together, and we will be missed very much! The show will not be the same☹
I am really disappointed to here of Mark leaving the show. He is, as others have said, the backbone of the show. I was really shocked when Christina and others have left the show, with no explanation to longtime, daily viewers of the show. I was very happy for him on his wedding and birth of his daughter. I am not sure I will be watching any more as so many cast changes have taken place with no respect for the loyal viewers. I think Home & Family just sealed it’s fate. Although many businesses are going towards hiring or replacing staff with younger and so called more energetic individuals, they fail to see the need for mature & stable individuals. How many of Home & Family viewers are from the baby boomer generation? I bet it’s a lot. Mark was a very likable person and versatile. I can’t imagine he did something inappropriate or said something off color.
why should we be kind with our thoughts and posts after what the did to both Cristina and Mark….I stopped watching when they gave Christina the boot….thought that was the “Family Channel” what a way to treat the family.
I have been watching Home and Family since it started and I start my morning watching it. I will miss Mark so much. He is the backbone of the whole show. I can’t imagine what happend but but I am extremely disappointed.

I agree that Mark carried the show all the way. I truly feel that the ratings are going to go down now. I feel that he can be paired with any co host and keep it interesting! He is a true professional.
This makes me very sad, he was one of the biggest reasons I watched this show. I love so many of the cast, all the great crafts segments and guest stars. I hope this was his dscision to leave and not management because it will really cloud my view of the show if they let him go. Wishing Mark great things for him and his family, you will be greatly missed!
Wow. I am shocked. Mark was the show, especially after Christina left, as far as I am concerned. He kept things interesting and was the main reason that I watched when I was home. Most likely won’t bother watching at all now.
To Hallmark Channel, Mark made this show worth watching. His co partner has less desire. I knew when Christina left the show would go down in ratings. Now that Mark is leaving ratings will go down more.. He kept the show interesting as a co host. Debbie just never had it as a co host. Even thou the others are very talented , most likely will stop watching home and family, Debbie just impress to kept show going.
