TV show description:
This TV series revolves around a guy who’s surrounded by women. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man’s man who doesn’t understand what’s happened to the world. These days, women run for president, serve in our military, and provide for their family while men sit in tanning beds and get their cuticles shaped. As the marketing director of a sporting goods store called Outdoor Man, Mike dedicates his life to reminding the world what makes men men. With the help of his co-workers Ed and Kyle, Mike uses his Outdoor Man video log to vent his aggression.
Mike’s dedicated wife is Vanessa (Nancy Travis). She’s a caring mother, grandmother, and geologist who doesn’t let her husband get away with much. After taking a career break to raise her three daughters, Vanessa returned to work and quickly received a promotion. That leaves less time for her family and for taking care of Mike, much to his chagrin.
Kristin Baxter (Alexandra Krosney, then Amanda Fuller) is an independent 20-year-old single mother who’s constantly fighting the urge to take a nap. Between chasing around her baby son, Boyd, and working at a diner, she rarely has a moment to herself. Kristin recently moved back in with her family, which has allowed her the luxury of free child care and a few moments of much-needed rest.
Mandy Baxter (Molly Ephraim then Molly McCook) is Mike and Vanessa’s self-centered 17-year-old daughter. She loves spending her father’s income and also uses her free time to updating her website, Mandyland, and going out for mani-pedis with her boyfriend. She can’t tell you who won the civil war, but she already knows who will win on The Bachelorette this season. Constantly connected, Mandy is always texting, blogging, and vlogging.
Eve Baxter (Kaitlyn Dever) is the youngest, toughest, and most athletic Baxter daughter. She isn’t interested in clothes, make-up, or what her hair looks like and would rather play full-contact football with the Broncos. Not surprisingly, she’s Mike’s little buddy.
Mike is employed by Ed Alzate (Hector Elizondo), the thick-skinned and opinionated owner of Outdoor Man. An old-school guy, he essentially wrote the book on how to live a man’s life. With his years of experience, Ed coaches Mike on how to handle his problems both at work and at home.
Working under Mike is Kyle, a charming, naive young man who’s desperately in need of a dominant male role model. At the store, he mainly performs mindless and humiliating tasks that no one else will do. His long blond hair and submissive personality may not make him first pick on the football field, but he holds his own at Outdoor Man.
Episode #194 — Keep on Truckin
After Mike’s beloved truck is stolen, just as he completes his 10-year renovation on it, the Baxter family and friends gather together for an emotional goodbye.
First aired: May 20, 2021.

Such a shame to have this wonderful comedy show no longer on TV. I hope another network picks it up as I would follow it to another channel without a doubt!!!
Why is it that they cancele4d this show when it has more viewers than all the shows they kept on Friday night?
I never liked this show and won’t miss it. It never lived up to my expectations for Tim Allen.
This show is fresh, timely and family friendly! With all the crap that is on TV today, Please rethink canceling this show!
It is so stupid to cancel such a top rated and good show!! I really do hope that another network picks it up.
I enjoyed this show! Great entertainment and wonderful talent, much needed content! I loved being able to just kick back and laugh. This show should not have been cancelled. I hope another network picks it up. This was the only show on ABC watched in my household… I guess I can remove ABC from the channel selection.
GOOD THOUGHT. I am going to remove ABC from my list of favorites too. You are right, it was the only reason I even watched that channel on Friday.
We are in total agreement regarding this show. It is about the only show we watch on this network. Most of shows have killing, crime, etc. If it is discontinued, we will really miss watching this program.
I hope someone else picks this show up unbelievable that it was cancelled thinking about some of the awful shows that have been renewed I can’t believe they would actually cancel a truly good family show
You’re absolutely right about this being a GOOD FAMILY SHOW. It never had to revert to unnecessary nudity and innuendo to make us laugh!!!
Why cancel this show, I truly enjoy it. We have a lot of bad times it is nice to laugh once in a while. You want to cancel something cancel Family Guy it is discussing, shows you how to disrespect your neighbor & kill them, real nice for kids to watch. Let us laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly right. Why is it that the shows with such negative messaging are on the air during times when kids watch and form terrible ideas on what behavior to emulate????
Great entertaining show that my wife and I always record. We enjoy laughing so Last Man Standing now joins our list of Cheers, Seinfeld, & Frasier reruns that we watch on a nightly basis. Jay Leno…poor guy just got hired on and now unemployed again.
This show is one of the few shows that is still great television. I don’t worry about the kids watching it or what they will hear, yet it still speaks to modern life and politics. Cancellation was a big error on your part. I hope another channel picks it up and allows Tim Allen to continue with this great program.
No! It should not have been cancelled. It’s one of the few clean, decent shows on TV that a family can watch together. Bring it back, please.
Wow it was one of the few television shows I enjoyed watching
What a major disappointment, I can only hope that another channel picks it up
WHY??????? This is a GREAT, funny, true to life show. PLEASE bring back season 7!!!!
Why???? This is our family’s favorite show! Please bring it back!!!
Best comedy on TV. Clean fun, great entertainment. How can ABC cancel this show? It s
A ratings bonanza. We need more Tim Allen’s on TV. Good bye ABC
This is one of the few shows that I watched on ABC. It is so sad that this great show has been canceled. I will have to consider options of not watching the few other shows that ABC have not been canceled.
