From creators Mark A. Altman and Steve Kriozere, the Pandora TV show is a science-fiction drama that unfolds in the year 2199. The action centers on Jax (Quintana) aka Pandora, who must start her life anew.
After her parents’ traumatic deaths, this enterprising young woman enters the EarthCom Fleet Training Academy and proceeds to form something of a “found family.” There’s more to Jax than meets the eye — even more than she suspects.
Enigmatic and intelligent, Xander Duvall (Dench) works as a teacher’s assistant to Professor Donovan Osborn (Huntley). His T.A. gig is really just a cover, though. In actuality, he’s an Earth Confederacy Intelligence Services operative.
In addition to being the Academy’s most intimidating teacher, Professor Osborn is also Jax’s uncle. As cavalier as he is challenging, Osborn sometimes seems like an unstoppable force. Like Xander, his position at the Academy is a cover for his real job with Earth Intelligence Services. Because of this, Xander feels torn between his love for Jax and his duty to her uncle.
Jax’s roommate, Delaney Pilar (Sandhu), is a nanite-enhanced woman. Her cybernetic implants keep her connected to the “Datastream,” so she is able to process information more quickly than ordinary people. She’s also connected to the Datacore’s group mind. Sometimes, she second-guesses her childhood decision to sacrifice her individuality to the “hive mind.”
A clone and the former property of the Adari sect, Atria Nine (Banno) is a talkative, enthusiastic young woman. Her neck tattoo informs the world of her past status. Although she is now free from the theocracy, her liberation came at a price. She does her best to be positive and to hide her doubts — particularly the doubts about herself.
A one-time adversary of the Earth Confederacy, Ralen (Radcliffe) is the son of the Zatarian ambassador. As a humanoid alien and the first of his species at the Academy, he must deal with the prejudices of those who blame the Zatarians for the war between Earth and Zatar.
Thomas James Ross (Bobb-Semple) is the son of a genetically engineered telepath. He wants nothing to do with the man though and is in hot pursuit of a career as a fighter pilot until he discovers his own abilities and purpose.
When Jax discovers there is more to her identity than she had always believed, the truth shakes up her world and leads her on a quest for answers. Whether she will save humanity or destroy it remains to be seen.

I hope they renew it. Season one was really good and at first I thought season two has leaped too far forward without resolving issues from the season finale but it began to redeem itself. There are a few characters I would like to see from season one finish out their storylines but all in all it is an interesting story with a great cast. Definitely has two or more seasons in it. Concerns me it’s taking so long to make a decision, as with Outpost. Didn’t they already renew Kung Fu?
Love the show! I’m definitely addicted. I would love to see the show continued. Very relaxing and funny.

I like the show. The one thing I do not like is the skimpy costumes that the women wear – i.e. Pandora wears a skin tight, low cut tank top, and skin tight pants, while Xander wears a long sleeve top, a leather jacket and regular pants. Another is Atria always in a crop top and mini-skirt even to class. This is 2019 people, and the show takes place in 2199. Women will always be portrayed as sexual object so long as they themselves choose to be portrayed as sexual objects. Certainly you understand the concept that this cast running around in short shorts, boots, and belly revealing checkerboard shirts would speak to farmer’s daughter dreams, specially if you include a loud hot rod and a couple of irreverent young fellows, and maybe a dishonest judge and cop. Things don’t really change, our perception changes.
I think the show should renew, let’s see where the artists are taking us…

I really like this show because the characters are so different! And I really don’t know where it going, so it is exciting to watch! Very human and warm depictions of being human even if you might be an alien!

This show is absolutely dumb. It’s all over the place. Doesn’t flow, makes no sense at all. I hope it gets cancelled. Seriously is it Star trek?,is it star wars? Is it both? Utter disappoint.
I love this show! It’s everything that the latest generation of Star trek tried to be and it would be a shame if this was canceled now.
I’ve seen the first two episodes of Pandora and I’m sad to say that it’s pretty bad. Both the heroes and villains are two dimensional and very predictable. As are the story lines. Just because it’s a teenybopper show doesn’t mean that it needs to be written simplistically. We need good sci-fi, and unfortunately this isn’t even close.
Boy you correct pretty bad is an understatement. The scrip is horrible could not keep my attention.
