Rebel is currently airing its season on ABC, but the network has already announced the show’s cancellation. Based on the life of Erin Brockovich, Katey Sagal stars in the drama series as Rebel, a woman who does what it takes to take down the bad guy. The Thursday night series also stars John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia.
Sagal, Brockovich, and others involved with the series spoke out about the drama’s cancellation. Sagal said the following about the ABC series being cancelled.

As for Brockovich, she spoke out to fans and told them to fight for Rebel to be picked up for a second season elsewhere.

E. Ortega, you are so right. I am 72 and the demographic age should include ALL seniors as well;
It’s not worth watching any new shows because ALL the networks only look at 1 demographic age group. Those of us on fixed incomes, ie seniors, don’t count for anything. We can’t afford going to the movies etc (once things are back to normal) and good tv shows are our only entertainment. I worked hard like other seniors my whole life and my Social Security is below the poverty level. Now networks what to cancel good shows or transfer them to their own paid subscriptions for more money. I guess a lot of seniors can’t even have entertainment anymore once… Read more »
They have done this often with the 10PM shows and I hate it. It’s helped leave ABC’s 10 PM shows . This 74 year old watches lots of The CW.
Very disappointed in the canceling of Rebel!! What an amazing show they made and was teaching us to use your voice and if u want something bad enough, don’t take no for an answer!!
This is yet another bummer that Rebel has unreasonably been thrown under the bus with other excellant TV shows that are loved by many. Katey, we will see you back on the Connors.

I just don’t understand why this show has been cancelled. Great acting, Great cast. How can they make a judgement call when this is a great show. I hate all these reality shows and watching tv is boring and suddenly Rebel came on the air and brought me back to watching. Disgusting that the show is cancelled and I hope someone picks up this show.
Does it really pay to get into new shows so many canceled very quickly and not even given a chance!

I was very surprised and disappointed in the cancellation of Rebel. All shows need a little time. I was enjoying this show more and more after each week. Great storyline and a great cast. I hope someone else picks it up.

No I was not surprising by the cancellation of Rebel it look logic because is not have a good drama to many character involving Rebel
and taking to long for resolve any.
Rebel is an outstanding show these Networks know that everything will be streaming soon. They better start listening before writers stream their own platforms
Very disappointed that Rebel was cancelled. It was a fantastic show and I love watching how women are getting a lot more active and interesting parts than ever before. Perhaps Rebel will find another home. Katy is a fabulous actor and I hope that she will continue on another series if Rebel is not picked up any where.,
I agree with Katey. To cancel a show after only 4 airings is ridiculous. I have enjoyed it alot. I love Katey Sagal. She is terrific in this show. Shame on you ABC.

Focus your money on the better shows Station 19 and Big Sky! You made the right decision to cancel Rebel.
I cant stand Station 19. It focuses more on the personal lives of the characters and doesnt show enough action. Chicago Fire on NBC is much better. But I do agree with you on Blue Sky. Probably my favorite show right now. Cant wait till the fall season.
