The Kids Are Alright stars Michael Cudlitz, Mary McCormack, Sam Straley, Caleb Foote, Sawyer Barth, Christopher Paul Richards, Jack Gore, Andy Walken, and Santino Barnard. The 1970s-period comedy centers on the Clearys, an Irish-Catholic family living on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Since its the ’70s, Peggy (McCormack) and Mike (Cudlitz) are raising their kids with a lack of supervision which might stun today’s parents, and now their eldest son wants to quit the seminary to go “save the world.” The times they are a-changing, and the Cleary family is not immune to the turbulence around them.
Airing on Tuesday nights, the first season of The Kids Are Alright is averaging a 0.87 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.15 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, The Kids Are Alright is in 11th place in the demo and 10th place in total viewership.

I cannot believe a show this good gets canceled. I looked forward to it every week. Every episode made me laugh. Please reconsider and bring it back or have another network pick it up. It is a winner
What a shame….great writing and acting by a terrific cast of young boys. Hopefully it gets picked up by another network!
I am so disappointed that the show “The Kids Ate Allright” has been cancelled. It is one of the top 3 sitcoms I loved! Who’s the loser that canceled the show, they should be fired!!!!!

I can relate to this show because I grew up in the seventies. I was disappointed as well as my husband this show was cancelled. Can another network pick this show up? It was funny and good.

The Kids are Alright is the best show on TV. Exceptional cast & writing! Please bring this show back. We need authentic laughs like this show brings. If ABC can’t maintain it, I really hope that another network will. Fantastic job Tim Doyle, thank you!

This show was a definitely a weekly watch for us. I hope they reconsider and bring it back. Sad to see it go. Reminded me of The Wonder Years….. which was awesome!
