Talon’s fight will continue. The CW has announced that The Outpost TV show has been renewed for a second season. The network hasn’t announced a premiere date yet but season two is expected to air during Summer 2019.
A fantasy drama from creators Jason Faller and Kynan Griffin, The Outpost stars Jessica Green, Jake Stormoen, Anand Desai-Barochia, Imogen Waterhouse, Michael Flynn, Robyn Malcolm, Andrew Howard, and Philip Brodie. The supernatural TV series centers on Talon (Green), the lone survivor of the “Blackbloods” race. When she was still a child, a ruthless mercenary gang slaughtered her entire village. Now that she has come of age, Talon decides to track her family’s murderers, all the way to a harsh and unruly fortress, at the edge of civilization. Along the way, she discovers she has a mysterious power, but she has to learn to keep it in check, if she’s going to save herself and the world.
The first season of The Outpost launched on July 10th of this year and wrapped last Tuesday, October 2nd. The 10 episodes ended up averaging a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 628,000 viewers. It was one of the network’s lowest-rated summer offerings but The CW licenses the series for broadcast in the United States so the channel’s costs are also lower. The Outpost airs on Syfy channels in other parts of the world.

Today, The CW announced that series Burden of Truth, Masters of Illusion, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and Whose Line Is It Anyway? will also be returning in Summer 2019.

Hi I’m from the U. K. And have been watching the outpost season 1 with keen interest. I love this type of show and was gutted when it ended. Please put a second /3/4 season on these type of shows are in short supply on our British screens. Not wishing to blacken British shows but they don’t produce shows of this level. We need more like OUTPOST /GRIMM/ MIDNIGHT TEXAS/ ORIGINALS etc.

Thanks CW for continuing The Outpost. Good decision. Please pass on my compliments to Anand Desai Barochia for creating a really quirky “good-guy”. He’s made this character believeable and very sympathetic in spite of playing it right up to the edge of being “over the top.” Janzo is actually one of the most interesting characters to me, and a unique one. He adds a lot to the fantasy and humor. I’m delighted The Outpost was renewed for season 2. Can’t wait to find out what’s up with the Dragman character–really nice twist. LOVE the outdoor location scenes. They really add a lot. I also love the humor and slightly “campy” tone, mixed in with the adventure and unfolding mysteries. Source of the plagueling illness was also a great twist and an interesting riff on bioterrorism that has lots of potential for plot development. Really enjoyed the original content of Season One and am very happy that the plot twists and turns will continue! Hopefully the on-location shoots will, as well – beautiful Utah landscapes. But, please invest in better production values – the miniatures look miniature, the Outpost’s walls look like blocks of foam rubber, and some of the non-human costuming and/or CGI looks cheap. Still, absolutely more positives than negatives. I DVR’ed the 10 episodes and can’t yet bring myself to delete them.
Beyond pleased to learn The Outpost will be back for a second season — THANK YOU!! We completely enjoyed the first season of this entertaining show. Love the well-placed humor, the story-line, the twists and turns along the way. The cast is delightful and talented — we very much look forward to watching more of them.
Fantastic News!! The Outpost is a wonderful show and the cast is outstanding! Looking forward to season 2. I wish we didn’t have to wait so long between seasons though.
I did enjoy it very much. Honestly, I watched the 1st episode because I know Jake’s parents and his mom suggested I watch. Ended up buying the entire season on my prime video and binge watched the entire season. I appreciate that there was very little profanity and gratuitous sex. I am a 67 yr old grandmother and found it very entertaining. Thanks. Looking forward to Season 2.
Yes! Renewed. Yeah. I like the plot track in season 1 & I’m looking forward to season 2 return. Actors are good but the way the Queen’s character is written makes her irritating to me. Wish Talon’s character could appreciate the brewer. Not a lot of scifi on BROADCAST TV & I’m thankful for the show.
Glad “The Outpost” is returning for a second season. The story is good for me, but the Grey Skins could be improved on, if they return. Look a little phony don’t you think? I purchased the first season and will purchase the second when it comes back. CW could be a better channel if it didn’t have so many commercials. If they just placed a bunch at a couple of segments of the episodes . That’s why Netflix is great. You can binge watch and enjoy a show that you normally wouldn’t because of commercials. YESSSSS!!!! THANK U SOOOOO MUCH CW! I LITERALLY CAN NOT WAIT FOR SEASON 2!
