It was only a matter of time. The 9-1-1 TV show has been very successful for FOX so, the network has launched a new series called 9-1-1: Lone Star. Will this show perform as well or better in the ratings? Will 9-1-1: Lone Star be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
An action-drama series, 9-1-1: Lone Star (not technically a spin-off of the 9-1-1 series) stars Rob Lowe, Ronen Rubinstein, Liv Tyler, Rafael Silva, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Julian Works, Jim Parrack, and Sierra McClain. Owen Strand (Lowe) was the lone survivor of a Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, Owen and his troubled firefighter son, T.K. (Rubinstein), to help them start anew. Once in Austin, Owen meets chief paramedic Michelle Blake (Tyler), police officer Carlos Reyes (Silva), Muslim firefighter Marjan Marwani (Karam), transgender firefighter Paul Strickland (Smith), rookie Mateo Chavez (Works), gruff firefighter Judd Ryder (Parrack), and his wife, Grace (McClain), a 9-1-1 call center operator.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Worst show ever!!!! Its so PC that it’s actually offensive. Not all Texans sound like foghorn leghorn. Did they make everyone in the LA version sound like valley girls or Bill and Ted? No, they didn’t. But it’s ok to make all Texans sound like inbred hicks. Two thumbs down for sure. And if all us Texans actually were as inbred as this stupid show would suggest then maybe I’d have a 3rd thumb. And you’d get that thumb down too.
So glad some one said it!!! Pick out some better looking actors to play Texans.
Watched 2 shows. Very dissappointed. Trying too, too hard to be diverse. Acting is not as good as I’m used to seeing. Needs to be cancelled!
This is absolutely the WORST show on TV!!! Fake, cheezy, and does NOTHING to represent FIREFIGHTERS OR TEXAS!! HORRIBLE! It’s silly, and NOT to forget, lets toss in EVERY politically correct thing you can even imagine!~!!! I can’t imagine Rob Lowe would stoop so low OR…YOU, Channel 4!!! for putting it on the air!!!! Get RID of it, please!!!!

Excited for this new show but very disappointed. Love Rob Lowe and original 911 but this show seems doomed to fail. Not impressed with Liv Tyler’s acting abilities. Watched the pilot and was disappointed; however, I tried to give it another shot on the following night. It became even worse. Could only watch half of that program. Covers too much liberal agenda and the scenes were not to my taste. I’ll be surprised if this show gets renewed.
Yes, Rob Lowe was good in Code Black. I was disappointed that show was cancelled. This new show won’t last long

Back in the 70’s, Anita Bryant and the Moral Majority, used to get on my last nerve… But we need them back… I know these things go on.. I just think these things should be private, no matter straight or gay… I will not watch this smut… This garbage is what people pay to see as their free will.. It shouldn’t be prime time in our living rooms… Nothing against the acting, but in my house, this show is off…
I have been watching the orginal 911 from the start. I love that show! I love Rob Lowe in 911 Lone Star, but I have to agree that Liv Tyler is not a good fit for the show. I know the show wants to include “everyone” but it is going WAY TOO FAR with the homosexuality! I don’t judge, but it really makes me uncomfortable in how aggressive the sex scenes were. I definitely agree with Carol Ann Bartz. I felt uncomfortable watching the homosexual scenes, it should be toned down. I also love 9-1-1, hope they don’t cancel it. I don’t think Liv Tyler is a good fit for the show!
I’m genuinely embarrassed that you’re still referring to them as “homosexuals” in 2020. It’s 2020…call them gay or just call them a couple. Tell me this…are you “uncomfortable” with the straight scenes too? If not, then maybe you should check yourself because it appears you’re swaying towards a bigoted stance against the gay community, bigots have no place in our society. If anything the TK and Carlos scene was tame and censored compared to the countless hardcore, nearly pornographic, sex scenes on TV involving “heterosexuals”. Fox is getting bold and its great they are making the bigots uncomfortable!
Have you not seen how “aggressive” HETEROSEXUAL sex scenes are on TV? Did you not see Buck banging a chick on the rooftop in the original 911 series? Hello! There are more aggressive hetero sex scenes on daytime TV then anything shown with TK and Carlos. This show is great, especially for its diversity and exciting story lines. Bravo to the cast and crew and FOX.
Sadly i just last night removed this show from my dvr. After seeing this show that shows scenes like it did i will not be watching. The cast is not in no way better or can hold a candle to the real 911 cast. Seems so fake

This is a great show! I don’t know why people have to be so picky. Soon there won’t be any good shows to watch. I hate reality shows, they are so phony. Batchelor? Such good looking contestants that can’t find someone to love???? Yeah, right!
Did not like Liv Tyler at all. I found her incredibly boring, need someone to bring things up, not down. The chemistry the cast of the original 911 has is missing here. Like the father/son arc, but there is just nothing else that makes me want to watch it again.
Didn’t like it at all…..Rob Lowe can’t carry the lead….disappointed, as we had high hopes for a show
based on Austin. Didn’t like explicit love scenes between the two men.
Show had a good premise, didn’t deliver for us.
Funny, the love scene between two hot men was definitely one of the best parts of an incredibly entertaining and great show.

Loved Rob Lowe. Good cast–except for Liv Tyler. Please get rid of her and bring in someone else! Show was interesting. Been watch the old 9-1-1 since it started, but all the characters are so syrupy sweet and goody two shoes. Been skipping episodes this season. Please don’t make Lone Star like that. It needs depth and dimension…it needs human problems and real issues to overcome. Give this show some bite!
I agree, except I find the original is much better than what it going on here. Agreed, Liv Tyler needs to be replaced.
Liv Tyler is subtle, not boring. Her investment in her character is clear and her rooting of her sister’s loss is quality acting work. Not all acting has to be in-your-face or aggressive. I love Liv and I think she is critical to this show’s success.
Sadly we won’t be watching, Rob Lowe was great, the rest was predictable, and nothing unique.
