It was only a matter of time. The 9-1-1 TV show has been very successful for FOX so, the network has launched a new series called 9-1-1: Lone Star. Will this show perform as well or better in the ratings? Will 9-1-1: Lone Star be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
An action-drama series, 9-1-1: Lone Star (not technically a spin-off of the 9-1-1 series) stars Rob Lowe, Ronen Rubinstein, Liv Tyler, Rafael Silva, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Julian Works, Jim Parrack, and Sierra McClain. Owen Strand (Lowe) was the lone survivor of a Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, Owen and his troubled firefighter son, T.K. (Rubinstein), to help them start anew. Once in Austin, Owen meets chief paramedic Michelle Blake (Tyler), police officer Carlos Reyes (Silva), Muslim firefighter Marjan Marwani (Karam), transgender firefighter Paul Strickland (Smith), rookie Mateo Chavez (Works), gruff firefighter Judd Ryder (Parrack), and his wife, Grace (McClain), a 9-1-1 call center operator.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
3/10 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the 9-1-1: Lone Star TV series on FOX? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*4/14/20 update: 9-1-1: Lone Star has been renewed for a second season.
Love 9-1-1 LoneStar! Please renew. Best show I’ve see in a long time besides The Good Doctor. These 2 shows I can’t wait to see all week. I love all the different stories of each character in 9-1-1 LoneStar. Great acting and awesome show. Has a little bit of everything ( action, drama and it’s cute and funny)
Renew!!!!! Renew!!!! PLEASE RENEW!!!
As a fan of the original 911, I really wanted to give this a chance. Rob Lowe is amazing..some of the others, not so much. Liv Tyler’s acting is the worst..definitely need to replace her if they want the show to make it..and I am happy for the diversity, but feel like they went overboard..the original 911 doesn’t have as much and is doing fine..I I think I will be sticking to the original unless they make some changes…
Great show. Please renew
I think they should bring back 911 Lone Star I like the show it was very good & I looked forward to rush home from work to watch it…PLEASE RENEW 911 LONESTAR I LOVE IT
9-1-1 was a great show and I would like that one back. 9-1-1 Lone Star is a forum for Rob Lowe. I normally like him but his acting seems to be failing. This show is missing actual 9-1-1 operators and police. The situations might entail the FD later but police should be the 1st responders on a lot of these situations, not the FD.
I have to give props to the show. Casting a trans man to play a trans man is showing a lot of clarity. As to the tone of the show – that all Texans are hicks and that somehow Austin has gone into some weird time warp where it’s a staunchly conservative town – well, that’s just wrong. I know the folks who did the sale to the network probably never even looked it up on Wikipedia. Racial stereotyping is fairly common on tv. Even today. Not that that’s an excuse for poor writing – but it’s a show that’s… Read more »
I watched 3 episodes in hopes it would get better and more realistic but was thoroughly disappointed. It is a B rated show at best with ridiculous story lines and plot. It is far below sub par and I am surprised Rob Lowe took this on. He is amazing but not enough to carry this show on his own. I lived in Texas for 20 years and never encounter stupid people in the manner they are depicted on this show. Fox …..do better.
Cancelled. It’s terrible.
Are all Mexicans in Texas really dumb, illegal or in danger of being deported? Do all Texans really speak like their from the back woods of… you know where? And, let’s address the bad acting… OMG! Rob Lowe and the actor who plays his kid are the only ones who can “act”. The rest gotta go. If they have to be bad actors, at least make them good looking actors to make the show worth watching. This is one calendar of firefighters I would NOT buy. The Texan firefighters is a great idea. BUT… why are the firefighters from out… Read more »
Love 911 Lonestar! I want more Rob and the gang please!
It’s a definite keeper !! Love Rob Lowe . I never miss episodes of either one
Ugh. We could only watch 1.5 episodes. The original 9-1-1 is our favorite though. So let’s hope for more seasons!
Renew it I’ll be a good follow up with 911 on Monday night
Like a car wreck, we had to look longer than we wanted; just to see how bad it could get.
