A familiar face is returning to The Conners. TVLine reports Katey Sagal will recur on season two of the ABC TV show.
A spinoff of Roseanne, the comedy series follows the working-class family of Roseanne and Dan Conner (John Goodman) including their three children Becky (Lecy Goranson), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), and D.J. (Michael Fishman), as well as Roseanne’s sister, Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf).
In the first season of The Conners series, Sagal guest-starred as “Louise, a former high school friend of Dan and Roseanne’s who left Lanford to pursue a career in music.” Now, it looks like Louise is back. According to TVLine, Sagal will have a “significant” storyline in season two of The Conners.
The new season debuts on ABC on September 24th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

I have not been able to watch since ABC fired Roseanne Barr for her inexcusable yet forgivable mistake. In Roseanne, a pioneering endeavor began much-needed conversation and dialogue in scripted television regarding reaching across the aisle. But ABC missed this golden opportunity and went safely with The Conners. As a result, it petered out like a wet firecracker. So why bother? I would have been glued to Roseanne had they taken the more courageous route.
No she wasn’t she was just a loudmouth person that just wanted attention and now blames drugs on all her negative connotations. She made her bed now she has to live in it.

Roseanne is the best. I refuse to even try to watch “The Conners” because ABC all the sudden takes the main character/ creator off the show. If it wasn’t for Roseanne’s ability to excel irregardless of what it took. ABC wouldn’t have a person to replace at all.
Katie Sagal is fantastic. Good choice.

L I have watched and loved Roseann from the early 80s. When the reboot was cancelled. I refuse to watch the Connors. The greatness of this show ceased to exist without Roseann. The network made a big mistake by firing the funniest member of the cast. They should resurrect Roseann the way Dan came back from the dead….
I completely agree wotj Barbara. I will never watch the Connors. Roseanne is the show without her there is no “Connors” ABC doesn’t get much of my viewing at all anymore.
Well, if she wasn’t so ignorantly bigoted it never would have happened. She brought it on her racist self.
It was still a forgivable mistake. I often think to myself “How many of us have NEVER said something stupid or bigoted?” On the Roseanne topic, I don’t think I have ever seen a hand go up when I’ve asked groups of people this question.
Her ignorant, bigoted commentary caused her being dismissed. There was no excuse for her racism and ignorance. Apparently you think her behaviour was ok to be overlooked.
Roseanne’s behavior was not ok. ABC made the correct decision. However, we can still love the character Roseanne and feel bad that the actor Roseanne is no longer on the show.
