TV show description:
When ABC revived Roseanne for a 10th installment, the sitcom earned stellar Nielsen ratings, averaging a 3.49 in the 18-49 demo with 13.482 million viewers. During the 2017-18 television season, it dwarfed the performances of both Grey’s Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars, and was quickly renewed for an 11th season.
However, once star Roseanne Barr made offensive statements on Twitter, the network cancelled Roseanne. Still, it was not ready to give up on the rest of the cast, the Conner family’s story, or a shot an Nielsen gold, and thus The Conners TV show was born.
Like Roseanne before it, The Conners follows the story of working-class family of Roseanne and Dan Conner (John Goodman) including their three children Becky (Lecy Goranson), Darlene (Sara Gilbert), and David Jacob ‘D.J.’ (Michael Fishman), as well as Roseanne’s sister, Jackie Harris (Laurie Metcalf).
The spin-off kicks off after a sudden turn of events results in the working-class Lanford, Illinois family facing life’s ups and down without its matriarch. As in the original family comedy, Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky, and D.J. grapple with the stuff of everyday living, from relationships, to pregnancy and parenthood, financial challenges, and more. No matter what challenges they must meet, the Conners endure, thanks to their persistence, humor, and most of all — love.

It’s Actually a much better show without the vulgarity of Rosanne. I hope it will be renewed but ABC makes some bad mistakes, such as cancelling Last Man Standing.
I love the show The Connors I think it’s a refreshing new comedy and to me it doesn’t even need Roseanne to make it A funny laugh out loud show please consider renewing this sitcom for another season.

I love the Connors and would like to see it renewed. I think the cast is doing just fine even without Roseanne! I think the story lines can be furthered. Please consider renewing the contracts

I won’t watch a tv show when the main character has been fired because of a stupid tweet. I call that unfair. And the ratings for the conners is low. The producer doesn’t want to cancel the show because he wants to give the show staying power. And he knows he screwed up firing Roseaane. I do hope the show does get cancelled.
You can look at the declining ratings for yourself and see how it’s about 1/4 that of when Roseanne got rebooted. I think at this point ABC is willing to lose money on it just to try to stick it to Roseanne. Nothing like liberal networks!
I love this show. I think it’s tons better without Roseanne. She seemed to make the actors tense. Now everything is relaxed and going great. I hope this show goes more seasons than the show it spun off from.
I have been a fan of Roseanne’s for a long time. I didn’t like the anthem/spitting but I got over it. What I’m not over is punishing people for their thoughts. Right or wrong. What went way too far for me was something Paula Deen said over 20 yrs ago and the man making racist comments in his own living room. Those were game changers. In case someone is keeping track nothing has happened to Dave Chapelle, Kathy Griffin, Kevin Hart, etc. You just have to be of the right persuasion. CANCEL THIS SHOW!!! It will NEVER ever be what it once was when it actually had the main character, Roseanne, on the show. This show should have never continued. Many people are waiting to watch something else in it’s spot. ABC needs to pay attention, and notice that. Roseanne fans (true ones) are NOT happy that this show takes up air time. We are strong, and we do not forget.
You’ve said it all in a much nicer way than I would have. I am 100% against this cancel culture. The old fashioned way works best – vote with your feet or your dollars but stop banning Americans’ right to FREE thoughts/speech!!
Cancel the show the conors it is a waste of air time it was great with rossanne she made it feel like middle class family now it feels like an los angeles family for west not even close very unreal story
