The original version of The Equalizer TV show ran for four seasons on CBS and was a middle-of-the-road performer in the ratings. Now, more than 20 years later, the network has rebooted the show. How will this new version perform? Will The Equalizer be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A reimagining of the 1985-89 action crime series, The Equalizer TV show stars Queen Latifah, Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, Adam Goldberg, and Laya DeLeon Hayes. The story follows Robyn McCall (Latifa), an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background. She uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn. To most, Robyn appears to be just an average single mom who is quietly raising her daughter (Hayes) and living with her aunt (Toussaint). However, to a trusted few, Robyn is “The Equalizer”, an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption. Joining Robyn as champions of justice her former CIA handler (Noth), an edgy bar owner and past colleague (Lapira), and a paranoid and brilliant white-hat hacker (Goldberg). As Robyn aids the oppressed and exploited, her work garners the attention of a shrewd NYPD Detective (Kittles) who doggedly seeks to uncover the identity of the vigilante known as “The Equalizer”.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

What do you think? Do you like the The Equalizer TV series on CBS? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The last 4 episodes seemed to indicate a stable viewership for the show, so CBS might be satisfied with the show’s performance.
Funny how people downvoted me for simply bringing up facts.
Love this show!! The reality factor is beyond real. Queen Latifah plays a fantastic role. We know that she can make any part come to life.
this is just ..the worst show ever.. who did the casting for this show … I watched the first one… wow shocking… pure cringe
I can’t believe people are still watching this ridiculous nonsense.
Will not continue to watch. Love queen latifah but can only handle so much BLM. It is thrown at viewers so often in Hollywood I believe it is starting to turn people off and are actually making matters worse and not helping. It is having the opposite affect. Decent show other than that.
Great show with good moral message. Need some that.
I love it. Enjoy that she looks after the under dog. Hope it continues for another season.
I am really glad and excited to see Season 2! Queen Latifah is great as are the whole cast. It’s an uplifting show that kicks butt!!
This show sucks,
I wouldn’t watch this crap if my life depended on it
I think they should renew. My mother and I love watching it together.
Sad to see such a great show(original with Edward Woodward) that was way ahead of its time get another stupid reboot from an entertainment industry that’s completely lost its ability to make anything original.
As predicted there is a steady decline in the ratings. I reckon this show will end the season just above or just bellow the 3million viewership mark and will continue to decline heading into season 2.
RENEWED! YEAH!!! One of the vey few reboots I actually like. Queen Latifah does a great job with the part and she is perfect as a strong female fighting for fairness and justice. Thanks for renewing.
Great show. Glad to see it has a second season. Queen Latifah surprised me as an actress. Very convincing in her role. The cast compliments her. It works. A pleasure. One of the few shows I watch on TV.
Great to see it wlll be returning for season 2
Really love the show! Adore Queen Latifa, very convincing charactor. These networks introduce shows, then they remove them, would rather watch this then the game shows they push. They dont seem to care what people watch as long as it is what they want.
I agree
