CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

I would very much like to see Scorpion brought back as a mid season replacement show. Some of the dreck that CBS is currently showing is much worse as entertainment. It would be nice to see it moved to a different night to see if viewer numbers would improve. I mean CBS lost Thursday night football so they have that money they saved to put Scorpion back on!
Definitely should have kept scorpion on the air. Smart funny and exciting, that’s what we want to watch

Scorpion was a great show that has ended too early. It was not wrapped up and I find it disrespectful to the fans to just end it.
Scorpion was a show that my whole family watched. 12 in total. I’m so disappointed that you would choose to air shows that have very little value to the mind.

Yes I firmly belive that all shows that we are interested in should be wrapped up properly. Have been really enjoying watching Scorpion. Gutted now that I know it will not end well. Take falling sky’s for instance ended but ended well.
Since this show was cancelled I have decided to cancel my cable.
Scorpion was one of my favorites. It should children that it is ok to be different, and that education is extremely helpful in life.
I am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED Scorpion is not renewing a season 5. Pysch was fun to watch. Leverage was fun to watch. Lie to Me was fun to watch. Why? Because the characters were all of us. I enjoyed watching Scorpion. They were smart, and that is all of us. They were quirky at times, and that Is all of us. They embraced friends as family, and that IS all of us. No sex. It was getting a little far-fetched but I think the ending was horrible. I think you could have given it one more season, at least. If you want to cancel things, why not cancel those crappy “reality” shows that are nothing but made-up drama about really shallow people?
I was so looking forward to season 5. Wow, CBS could have at least let them give a better ending!!
NO, NO why did y’all cancel scorpion I loved this show. Please bring it back the way it ended was bad. They have to get back together but before they do a little healthy competition is good and would probably bring in more viewers. Now what am I going to watch. So sad
