The Talk is losing another member of its panel ahead of season 11. Marie Osmond is leaving the CBS daytime talk show after just one season. The singer/presenter joined the panel last season to replace Sara Gilbert.
Osmond explained why she is leaving The Talk on CBS and what is next for her.
“One of the highlights of my year at The Talk was working with my dear friend John Redmann, and I’m excited to continue our working relationship on several projects we are developing. Also, my husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed and remembered we hadn’t been this alone together since 1982!! So, at this stage of my life, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids/grandkids.”
The Talk’s longtime executive producer and showrunner John Redmann previously left after the 10 seasons. Osmond is working on a new series with ViacomCBS and plans to work with Redmann on the new project.
Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood will host The Talk on their own until a fifth person is added to the panel. A new showrunner will also be named.

The only reason I watched the talk was for Marie osmond!!! She added value and reasoning to the show!
She didn’t fit in! She had to many crying stories. I think I might start watching it again. Thank you for letting her go!!!
Will miss her! I enjoyed getting to know another side of Marie!
Sorry Marie is leaving the show. She was a classy lady and brought much insight on every topic. I am tired of the others hosting this show….start over with new cast
Get rid of sharon osborne she ruins the show wont watch with her on there.
Not surprised. Although, most of the time “chat” seemed friendly between the women, I often felt Mrs. O was a bit snarky to her.
I’m not surprised that Marie left the show. I always thought she needed her own TV show again…she has a lot of wisdom and common sense.

I knew it would not last Sharon Osborn has to bevNumber 1! She made it hard for Marie. If you watch. Sharon had to outdo everything Marie did, said, etc. The guests even loved Marie . Prim example. Ww are talking about Marie. Sharon hasn’t make sure we TALK about her! I will no longer watch the talk. I stopped when Julie left. But, returned because of Marie. So long !

She’s not leaving by her choice . Someone had a say in her dismissal. I have my guess . She brought a fresh conservative view . She will be missed .
I hate that Marie is leaving the show. I would rather see Carrie-Ann leave.
I believe Marie is to good for those Women
I want to be hired as a replacement for Marie Osmond. the reasons ; everyday people need the opportunity to express their views about the topics that also affect our lives. We can relate to those in the audience just as easily or more so because we are not celebrities. Having that connection is more effective and convincing we have different perspectives on many topics covered. I have a great sense of humor, well liked, and in the same age bracket as those currently on the talk. In conclusion employ someone who can be open to discuss any topic freely.… Read more »
