God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

This is the best show on tv, I have no idea why CBS would cancel it. I hope another network is smart enough to pick it up. There is finally a good clean show on tv with a feel good theme and it gets cancelled, what is wrong with CBS? I’m very disappointed and upset.
This is one show that should NOT BE CANCELLED. Why does CBS do this so often? I’m really thinking about dropping CBS All Access. You get interested in a show and boom – they cancel it! Sorry to see this go.
This was truly one of the best shows on TV. I am heartbroken!!! CBS needs to be canceled for this.
Yes we are very upset about the show being cancelled. Especially with all the bad going on in the world right now. Every Sunday when we watched as a family (which anymore is few and far between that a family can sit down and enjoy a show together that everyone liked) it is a feel good show that you hated for the episode to be over and couldn’t wait for the next one. Great actors also! It’s very sad and the next show will be a tuff act to follow very very disappointed. Please reconsider
Yes!!! What’s the matter no one gets killed? No blood and gore?! Nice people helping people. GOD forbid.
I got the CBS app just for this show. I will be canceling that. Finally had a show that was inspirational, family friendly and just really really good! I hope Netflix or Hulu will pick it up!

God forbid we keep a show that brings meaning to people and keep all the useless reality shows. If enough people step up and let them know how they feel, maybe another channel will pick this great show up.

I just started getting into the show this season. I enjoy it thoroughly great story lines. What a disappointment that CBS axed this production
Figures…..get rid of a show that has no blood and violence in it. It was nice to see that there still is people out there that have feelings.
You know, this is the last straw. I am very upset when groups like CBS, just out of the blue, just cancel amazing shows, like God Friended Me. When shows are left on cliffhangers, and many other things. I will no longer watch anything that has to do with CBS ever again. They just lost me as a viewer.
The show needs a “friend suggestion” right now! ABC, NBC, Netflix?! Love the show and very disappointed that it’s being cancelled!
