Can Ray keep it together during the second season of the Mr Inbetween TV show FX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Mr Inbetween is cancelled or renewed for season three. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated that their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all the season two episodes of Mr Inbetween below. *Status update below.
An FX half-hour dramatic TV show, Mr Inbetween was created by its star, Scott Ryan. The series also stars Damon Herriman, Justin Rosniak, Brooke Satchwell, Jackson Tozer, Nicholas Cassim, Chika Yasumura, Edmund Lembke-Hogan, and Matt Nable. In the series, Ray Shoesmith (Ryan) has many roles — as a father, an ex-husband, a boyfriend, caretaker to a sick brother, and a best friend. His life is further complicated because Ray also happens to be a criminal-for-hire. In season two, Ray’s work and personal life collide and he struggles to keep both of them from imploding.
What do you think? Which season two episodes of Mr Inbetween TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should FX cancel or renew Mr Inbetween for a third season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*5/27/20 update: Mr. Inbetween has been renewed for a third and final season on FX.
This series is incredible in the way it packs so much into such short episodes. It is not relying upon non-stop action, explosions, sex, but rather excellent story telling and emotional punch. There are elements of the other, but the last two are the hooks that dig in. So many shows are made to watch with eyes only. This one wants your mind. It challenges you to think, and if you do, you will hunger for more. I hope this show continues. If it dies, it will be because it has remained too hidden. Like an artist who paints a… Read more »
Love this show!! Please renew for season three!!
I want Season 3 Mr Inbetween! best Aussie drama I’ve seen in a long time… I’m so emotionally attached to all the characters and cried when Ray helped his brother take his life…compelling viewing love all the twists and turns and find the content so relatable… bring on season 3 you can’t leave us hanging like that.
Definitely 1 of the best shows currently on tv, single best show no1 knows about. Most def on my all time list. I wonder who this Nielson family is & how we can stop their complete dominance of our tv.
Scott Ryan portrays a complex character by using precise, streamlined dialogue and physically inhabiting the role like it’s his home……… Great cast and one of the best series I have ever watched!
One of the best shows I’ve watched both seasons were amazing please come back with a third ❤
I’m 73, and love this show and Mr. Ryan’s writing ability! I have to admit I use CC to understand all of the dialogue. I put the show up there with Breaking Bad!
I could go on and on but at 73 I think it’s time for a nap. ✌️
I’m hooked, Best show on tv that no one knows about. More please.
I hope it gets renewed for another season or two. I love the show. I’m a 58 year old woman and I have enjoyed watching both this season and last season. Only time I have cried was when the dog got killed in episode 10, don’t like animals getting hurt so if you could refrain from that I’d appreciate it

I would love to see Scott complete the story of Ray however long that may take. I absolutely love this show and can’t wait for each episode every week! I loved how Scott put comic relief in, mostly the first season. The show can be very dark (not a bad thing) and it was refreshing to have a scene here and there that had you laughing some of that darkness off. Plus it gave it a depth that I haven’t seen used before I would also like to see it be a hour long show or even how the first… Read more »
I can’t fathom a drop in viewership in season 2, as this is one of the best shows currently on cable television. I find it taut, refreshing & possessing a unique quality I attribute to crisp writing & the calibre of polished acting from its Aussie cast of characters. If a season 3 is not in the cards, it’ll be a damn shame. I agree with J, Carter (commentator below) that the episodes should be an hour long. The current 30 minute shows fly by too quickly! Ray Shoesmith is an anti-hero we love, despite his often nefarious & criminal… Read more »
I love Mr. Inbetween! Wish there was more episodes. Keep ’em coming Scott Ryan!
Mr inbetween has become one of my most anticipated and favorite shows each week. Scott Ryan’s personality shows so many facets one would not normally associate together – and the facial expressions! The other casting is terrific plus some very out of the box writing. I love this show!
finally a really great show….with great writers….please….keep them coming….we have enough reality shows…..thank you….south fla…..
I stumbled onto Mr In Between last year and was instantly hooked. Its genuine, its action. Ita refreshingly real-world filmogrphy without all the Hollywood polish and BS. I’d make this show an hour each week and HBO Showtime and Netflix would shat themselves for not buying it first.
10 star stuff. Instant classic that my (US) market would eat up
