Blue Bloods will not be saved from cancellation. Last year, CBS announced that season 14 would be the end for the long-running series, and the season would be broken into two parts. The first part is currently airing, and the second half of season 14 will air in the fall.
Starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the long-running Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers living in New York City.
Selleck spoke out about the show’s cancellation ahead of its season 14 premiere, and he revealed that he and others in the cast of the drama were not happy with the decision.
Could the show get a reprieve, as has happened to fellow Friday night occupant SWAT? Unfortunately, no.
CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said the following about the decision to cancel the show, per Deadline:
“We love this cast, we love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”

Blue Bloods was a Friday night destination. CBS sucks for canceling a popular show. If it’s all about the ratings, the Blue Bloods should not have been canceled. Idiots at the helm of CBS.

Blue Bloods is the best program to choose from on the 4 networks. To get anything close you need to go to Netflix or other avenues. You need to look at your CBS skills that pertain to real viewers and not selling advertisement. I am banning myself from watching another Super Bowl on CBS. Not because of Tony or Jim, because of your lack of entertainment skills for that pathetic half time show. Get with it don’t lose a winner and a tremendous fan base. Thank BB crew for years of great entertainment.
Like so many other good show on CBS,NBC,FOX & ABC dumb decisions are made to cancel great shows and when they do have a good one now they put it on a sister station such as Peacock and charge you ALL ABOUT MONEY NOT THE FANS !!!
Blue Bloods needs to be saved, why don’t you listen to your fans, we want to keep the show on! Why do you take the great shows off & keep the bad ones? Blue Bloods is a great show & if you’re smart you will not cancel it, you have many fans of this show so do the right thing and keep it on!
Blue Bloods needs to be saved. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Why is NCIS still around but you’re getting rid of Blue Bloods.
It got 14 seasons why would anyone complain about a show ending after such a long run?
It never has a bad story unlike many other shows.Wby keep Ghosts when this show is far more entertaining.
I am sure Amy Reisenbach did not take a 25% paycut as the cast of Blue Bloods did last year. Maybe NBC or ABC have holes for Blue Bloods. P.S F*@K YOU AMY!!!
CBS is famous for these asinine arbitrary decisions so although I am sad to see the show go, I am not surprised at all. Things like this are why we have almost zero network series we watch anymore.
So, what CBS is saying is it doesn’t care what the viewers think or want. That’s so nice to know about them when making decisions about what channel to watch and what shows to watch both old and especial what NEW shows to start watching. HEY CBS, there is NO WAY that you can replace BLUE BLOODS with another show that will have the same family values and audience that BLUE BLOODS has. BOSSES, YOU HAVE NO MORALS!
Please DO NOT cancel Blue Bloods. It’s a great program with great actors and dialogs. We’ve been watching it every Friday night since it first aired. Again, please do not cancel this fine program series.
That is a terrible decision. I hope someone else picks up the show. I have watched every single episode since day one. Long Live the Reagans!
