Jake in Progress information

George Wendt and John RatzenbergerSooner or later our favorite TV shows all come to an end and the cast and crew all go their separate ways. If we’re lucky, our favorite performers return in new shows and movies. Here’s where you’ll be able to see some of them…

Former Cheers barflys George Wendt and John Ratzenberger are returning to NBC for the Last Comic Standing reality show. They’ll be traveling to Nashville to help audition talent for the competition. The episode airs tomorrow night, June 12th.

Sarah Paulson (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) has been signed to star opposite Bobby Cannavale (Will & Grace) in ABC’s remake of Cupid. She’ll play psychiatrist Claire Allen, the role Paula Marshall played in the original 1990s series. In addition, Rick Gomez (What About Brian) has been cast as the owner of a struggling Manhattan bar who rents a room to Cannavale’s Trevor Hale.

It looks like there’s going to be a little Veronica Mars reunion next fall on NBC. Francis Capra will be playing a baddie by the name of Jesse on Heroes. We don’t know much else about him at this point except that he’ll cross paths with Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia). This likely means that he’ll have a run-in or two with former Veronica castmate Kristen Bell at some point.

A light-hearted drama that tells the story of handsome Jake Phillips (John Stamos), a celebrity publicist for New York's Magnum PR Agency. Jake's life isn't made very easy by his obnoxious and pregnant boss, Naomi Clark (Wendie Malick); his childhood friend Adrian (Ian Gomez), a married dentist who lives in the suburbs and lives vicariously through Jake; and Patrick Van Dorn (Rick Hoffman), a performance artist who won't leave Jake alone and pops up at the most inconvenient times.
