TV shows on DVD

Swingtown information

According to JimIn an age when there are hundreds of television channels, there’s a decent chance that you’ll be able to find a TV show that you like to watch. Or, if the size of a series’ audience declines, they often have to axe them as well.

Here’s a “quick” listing of shows that won’t be back for the 2009 — 2010 TV season. If your favorite is on the list, you have our sympathies.

Swingtown

Swingtown

It's summer in 1976. Changes are happening in the U.S. of A. as it celebrates its Bicentennial. Making a change in their own lives are stockbroker Bruce Miller (Jack Davenport) and his wife, Susan (Molly Parker), who move to a much more posh neighborhood in Chicago. New neighbors Tom and Trina Decker (Grant Show and Lana Parrilla) aren't quite like anyone the Millers knew in their old neighborhood. The Decker's open marriage and lifestyle raise the eyebrows of the Millers and their old friends, Roger and Janet Thompson (Josh Hopkins and Miriam Short).

Here's where you'll be able to find Brittany Robertson (Swingtown), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch), Jessica Collins (Tru Calling), Mark Deklin (The Ex List), Mary Beth Peil (Dawson's Creek), Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls), Alex Herschlag (Will & Grace), Adhir Kalyan (Aliens in America), Adrien Brody (The O.C.), Michael Chiklis (The Shield), Fred Willard (Back to You), Jean Smart (Designing Women), Zach Galifianakis (Tru Calling), Ray Liotta (Smith), Erik Knudsen (Jericho), Craig T. To start, Brittany Robertson (Swingtown) has landed the lead role in an hour pilot for the CW. Light Years is a family dramedy that revolves around a 15-year-old girl (Robertson); a foster kid who tracks down her birth parents who turn out to be a female radio show host and an immature bar owner.
