The Honeymooners: A Musical with a Singing Ralph and Alice?

honeymooners musicalThe Old Globe theatre in San Diego has announced that a new musical, an adaptation of The Honeymooners, will kick off their 2013-14 season.

The show will follow bus driver Ralph Kramden and his best pal, Ed Norton, after they win a jingle contest and must adjust to life working on Madison Avenue.

Tony Award winner Michael McGrath will play Jackie Gleason’s old role. Jerry Mitchell, the Tony-winning choreographer of La Cage Aux Folles, will direct and choreograph the musical comedy.
