According to JimIn an age when there are hundreds of television channels, there’s a decent chance that you’ll be able to find a TV show that you like to watch. Unfortunately, with economics being what they are, there’s also a really good chance that it will be cancelled. The network execs have to answer to their stockholders and are less and less likely to take time to let shows grow an audience. Or, if the size of a series’ audience declines, they often have to axe them as well.

Here’s a “quick” listing of shows that won’t be back for the 2009 — 2010 TV season. If your favorite is on the list, you have our sympathies.

Deal or No Deal

A game show in which a contestant is initially given his/her choice of 20 suitcases, each being held by a beautiful female model. Each suitcase holds a dollar value between $1 and $1,000,000. During the rest of the game, the contestant chooses to open additional briefcases and reveal their value. After a specified number of cases are opened, the show's "banker" offers the contestant a calculated amount of money to trade in their case. If the contestant accepts the offer, the game ends. If not, the contestant ends up with the dollar amount in the first case.
