CBS is developing a reboot of their classic Have Gun – Will Travel TV series. The original TV show ran for 225 episodes and six seasons, from 1957 until 1963.
The Western drama’s new pilot will be written and directed by writer/director/playwright David Mamet. It’ll be produced by CBS TV Studios. Mamet is executive producing the project with agent/producer Elliott Webb. Mamet previously created military drama The Unit, which ran for four seasons on CBS.
The original Have Gun – Will Travel stars Richard Boone as Paladin, a crack shot and gentleman gunfighter who prefers to settle problems without violence if possible.
