Adam Brody (The O.C.) has been signed to play wise-cracking Wally West aka The Flash in the Justice League movie project. The Los Angeles Times reports that Brody’s deal is done but the studio won’t release the castlist until the movie’s script is given an official greenlight. Seems a little backwards but Brody sounds like a good choice for the role nonetheless.
Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Melora Hardin (Little House on the Prairie, currently The Office), and Jim Gaffigan (That 70’s Show) have all joined the cast of 17. It’s the movie about a middle-age dad (Zac Efron/Matthew Perry) who wakes up to find that he’s a teenager again. Trachtenberg’s character unwittingly develops a crush on the new boy at school who is actually her father. Hardin plays the principal at the school but it’s unknown what role Gaffigan will play. Production begins soon.
Nat Faxon (Happy Hour, Joey) has been cast in Lower Learning, opposite Eva Longoria (L.A. Dragnet, currently Desperate Housewives), Jason Biggs (Total Security), Rob Corddry (The Winner), and Will Sasso (Less than Perfect). The comedy feature tells the story of a vice-principal who tries to clean up a troubled elementary school.
