Last week, ABC debuted their new romantic comedy, Romantically Challenged
. Do the ratings reflect some viewer love or will the show be dumped after Read more . . .
Rebecca Thomas (Alyssa Milano) is an attorney, a single mom, and recently divorced after fifteen years of marriage. She married her high-school sweetheart and says that she hasn't had a date since Clinton was in office. Her younger sister, Lisa Thomas (Kelly Stables), is a Kindergarten teacher with a wild side who wants to protect her big sister.
Rebecca's best friend since childhood is Perry Gill (Kyle Bornheimer), a very successful financial planner. A rugged type of guy, he's also a very sensitive romantic who falls in love with women very quickly. His best friend/roommate, Shawn, knows he plans his guest list for his fantasy wedding every night before he goes to sleep and also has names picked out for his future children. Perry himself knows he needs to be a little tougher and learn how to be more of a guy so a woman will love him.
Shawn Goldwater (Josh Lawson) is a witty and affable aspiring writer and Perry's rent-free roomate. He's the cynic who is emotionally absent and has never had a relationship that lasted longer than a three-night stand.
This situation comedy is set in Pittsburgh, because creator/executive producer Ricky Britt wanted the show set in a "small-town city," and because he's a fan of the Penguins hockey team.
